the stuff:

Throw it on and go!  Whether I'm getting ready for a night out or just running errands for the day, the Duffy jumper keeps me looking good and feeling comfortable while I'm doing it. The drawstring allows for a relaxed fit, or it can be cinched to define the waist. Whether I'm sporting wedges or flats, this is an easily transitional piece for every day and every mood.

the story:

Esby was founded in 2014 by designer Stephanie Beard. They feature quality clothing that is designed to be worn over and over. the stuff:

I like big bags and I cannot lie! Whether I want to throw everything I own into it or just my wallet and some daily essentials, this bag can handle it all!  The soft and sturdy leather only gets better-looking with time. As the leather wears, it darkens and softens while maintaining its structure, which means the Mamuye tote will transition with me through every day and every season.

THE CITIZENRY
Tierra Rug
$155- $325

tierra rug - Andrea Miner.jpg

the stuff:

The cactus. The sand. The sun. The heat. Okay... maybe not the heat, but I love how stunning the desert can be. There’s something about the vibrant and simple life that draws you in. Maybe it’s all the Pinterest images of Saguaro cacti but it makes me want to bring a piece of the desert into my home. Enter the Tierra rug from The Citizenry.  It has the perfect Aztec vibe and works in pretty much any space. You can throw it in your kitchen, entryway, or bedroom and it will add just the right amount of flare. It takes one full week to complete one of these rugs and you can feel good about supporting the fair trade cooperative of 14 Zapotec women who live and work in Oaxaca, Mexico.

the story:

This isn't the first time the Citizenry has been featured on Communelle, and I'm sure it won't be the last.  What else can I tell you about this incredible company?  The Citizenry was built on the premise that we should fill our homes with pieces that celebrate the people and lives who made them.  By personally traveling to different countries where their products are made, the team at the Citizenry are able to use only local materials and establish real relationships with their artisans. With fair trade standards, the Citizenry’s artisans are compensated fairly for sharing their incredible talents and gifts.
